My general opinion of hipsters aside, this company’s “overarching concept and narrative” is disingenuous at the very least and IMO veers mighty close to downright deceitful exploitation. Retailers can sell whatever they want at whatever price the market bears, but consumer legerdemain is not one of the “ideals of yesteryear” we should reward. This is how cynicism calcifies. I hope the whole business goes up in flames, leaving nothing but a puddle of artisanal dye, a few reclaimed wooden beams and a whiff of burned beard hair.
